OXFORD Civic Society bosses are staging a discussion about the future of tourism in the city.
The panel discussion will take place on Tuesday at Rewley House in Wellington Square at 7.30pm.

The panel will include Hayley Beer-Gamage, chief executive of Experience Oxfordshire, Mary Clarkson, the city council’s cabinet member for culture, Kurt Janson, of Tourism Alliance and Phil Southall, of Oxford Bus Company.
The civic society said: “Oxford attracts over eight million visitors a year, contributing some £873m to the local economy and providing about 12 per cent of local jobs.

“But fewer than 40 per cent of visitors are satisfied with their experience and Oxford is among the lowest-rated destinations to which tourists would consider returning for a second visit.
“Meanwhile, residents complain about the crowded pavements, chaotic parking and coaches choking St Giles.”
