A COMMUNITY fridge in Oxford is being forced to temporarily close due to coronavirus.
Volunteers from Botley Community Fridge, one of the oldest in the country, posted a message on its Facebook page this afternoon.
It said: "I'm afraid that we're having to close the Botley community fridge temporarily because of the coronavirus.
"Some members of the congregation of St Peter & St Paul church are frail, as are some of our fridge users."

It added: "We had agreed with the church that the fridge would shut when the first case of coronavirus was announced in Oxford.
"The fridge will shut at the end of today (Sunday). We will try to find a way of still providing non-perishables for people in need.
"I'm sorry about this, and look forward to having the fridge back in operation, hopefully soon."
