A TOP representative from the Colombian Truth Commission visited Oxford University yesterday.
Commissioner Dr Carlos Beristain took part in a conference with academics and members of the Colombian community in exile.
The meeting at Oxford University Catholic Chaplaincy focused on the Truth Commission process and justice issues in Colombia.
The Truth Commission was set up as part of the peace process between the Colombian Government and the FARC guerrilla group in 2016.

The Truth Commission is seeking to uncover the truth surrounding human rights violations and abuses which were carried out during decades of internal conflict.
Colombians living in Oxford were invited to attend to find out more about the commission’s work.

The commission is attempting to gather the testimonies of those who have been affected and may have left Colombia as a result of the country’s internal conflict.
