A NEW £15million Glasgow primary school has been officially opened.
An opening ceremony took place yesterday at Riverbank Primary.
The school was built on the Glasgow 2014 Commonwealth Games athletes’ village site by City Building.
It opened its doors to pupils and staff at the beginning of the new term last August.
The school was built to meet demand for the growing population as part of the regeneration of the local area.
The special opening celebration was attended by the city convener for education, Councillor Chris Cunningham.
Guests were entertained by the Eastbank Learning Community Baby Strings and the pupils of Riverbank and nearby Dalmarnock primary school.
