ENGLAND rugby players trained at an Oxford boarding school’s sportsground this week.
England men’s head coach Eddie Jones recalled 25 players for three days of training in the city ahead of England’s next Guinness Six Nations match against Wales at Twickenham Stadium on Saturday, March 7.
The players trained at St Edward’s School on Woodstock Road today.
Apprentice Alex Mitchell joined up with the squad and George Furbank will be in camp for rehabilitation.
Mako Vunipola and Luke Cowan-Dickie were not included due to family reasons.
Some of the players practicing at the school were forwards Tom Curry, Charlie Ewels and George Kruis and Kyle Sinckler and backs Elliot Daly, Jonny May and Ben Youngs.
The Rugby Football Union is in talks with the government over England’s match in Rome on 14 March following the coronavirus outbreak in Italy.
The Italian federation has said its government will decide whether the match will go ahead.
