EMERGENCY services spent hours on the scene of a multi-car crash in Didcot tonight.

The A4130 leading to the train station was at a standstill as of 7pm, with police turning motorists around.

The road remained closed in both directions at 9pm but had reopened by 10.15pm.

The incident is thought to have involved three cars and the road was blocked both ways.

A driver caught in the queue earlier said she saw an ambulance pass and a convoy of police, including two unmarked police cars.

She added: "I could see loads and loads of flashing blue lights ahead."
