An award-winning charity tearoom has been given a boost with a Rotary Club donation.

The Style Acre Tea Room in Blewbury has had a helping hand with a donation of £400 from Didcot Rotary Club.

The money was raised by the Rotary Club in a street collection.

Style Acre is a charity which provides person-centred support for people with learning disabilities and autism and helps support people to make choices about their lives.

The Style Acre Tea Room currently provides 16 opportunities for people they support.

The £400 donation will be used to replace equipment and upgrade the tea room's facilities.

Style Acre Tea Room manager, Tracey Kanapp said: “The Tea Room has been going for a long time, and some of our equipment is showing its age.

"The money from Rotary means we can replace our older equipment and upgrade our facilities, which we couldn't afford otherwise.”

Rotary Club President, Pam Siggers handed Tea Room deputy manager Charmaine Copley, the manager Ms Kanapp and her daughter Rachel Kanapp the £400 cheque.

Some people have paid positions and later progress and embark on further opportunities after working at the tearoom.
