A THREE-BEDROOM showhome is opening at the Wolvercote Mill site so buyers can see what life would be like on the new estate.
About 190 homes are being built where the 18th century mill once stood, supplying paper to Oxford University Press.
Paper production officially finished in 1997 and the buildings were demolished in 2004.
Plans for the major North Oxford development were approved in 2018.

Pat Nightingale, Sales Director at Blocc Interiors said: “By combining the latest stylistic techniques, we’ve been able to create a luxury and stylish home which has the flexibility to meet a wide range of buyers.
“We’ve maximised the showhome’s bright and spacious interior by utilising a neutral palette with accents of mineral colours, including dark blue and grey, which are both on-trend for 2020.
"We also had an emphasis on textures, with light-reflective wallpapers to further emphasise the space, and bespoke artwork to add a splash of colour and individuality to the walls.”
The three-bedroom, three-storey ‘Hinksey’ showhome has an open plan kitchen/dining room with doors to the back garden, accompanied by a separate utility room, storage cupboard and integral garage to keep everywhere clutter-free.
