Police issued a warning via the TVP Oxford Twitter page yesterday, asking motorists to keep their bikes locked to something sturdy.

The tweet said: "There has been a recent rise in motorbikes being taken from the Cowley and Wood Farm areas.
"Please make sure that they are locked to an immovable object and keep [them] out of sight if at all possible."
On January 22, a black Suzuki scooter was stolen from Cowley during daylight hours.
It was taken from the driveway of a home in Church Cowley Road, between 1.30pm and 2pm.
