SCIENCE Minister Chris Skidmore will today visit the Central Laser Facility at Harwell Campus where he will meet female scientists.
He will also announce £81m for a new government-funded advanced imaging centre.
This will use super-bright lasers to produce state-of-the-art 3D X-rays in just 30 seconds.

The new facility is due to open in 2024 and will employ more than 200 people on site during construction and employ at least 30 people per year.
Mr Skidmore said: "The new advanced imaging centre will enhance the UK’s leading role in laser technology and will revolutionise medical imaging.
"I’m delighted to be launching the centre with Physics Nobel Prize winner Donna Strickland."
