A warning on social media yesterday stated: "Just to make people aware if you walk your dog in the field at the end of George Street by the sports centre the campers have loose dogs and geese."

Oxford Mail:

Although not directly Cherwell District Council business, the authoirty confirmed on Friday it was aware of the travellers and was monitoring the situation.

It had received no reports that the leisure centre was affected and said the travellers were on county council land and that as of late morning on Friday police were visiting the site.

Thames Valley Police said it was a civil matter for Oxfordshire County Council to address.
