Trains between Glasgow Central and Wemyss Bay/Gourock have been disrupted due to a signalling fault.

ScotRail are advising passengers that the fault at Bishopton could cause delays.

A Tweet from the rail provider read: "A signalling fault has been developed at Bishopton, affecting Wemyss Bay/Gourock - Glasgow Central in that direction."

"Trains are having to pass two signals at red with permission from the signaller, which is causing a delay."

"@NetworkRailScot engineers are on their way."
