A WITNESS of a 'dramatic' car fire yesterday said he had never seen anything like it before.
Steve Ward, from Kennington, was walking back to Redbridge Park and Ride in Oxford when he noticed smoke coming from nearby.
It turned out to be coming from a huge car fire in Chatham Road just off Abingdon Road.
The 69-year-old managed to capture photos of the vehicle as crews battled with the flames.
He said: "It was really dramatic. I haven't seen something like that before. There was popping and banging from within the car as it was on fire and big black smoke everywhere. Lots of people were watching."
No-one was injured and the cause of the fire is still unknown.
