A MOTORING site welcomed students for a day of career insights last week.

Twenty Year 10 pupils from Bicester Technology Studio toured the historic RAF site at Bicester Heritage.

The day was designed to give them a flavour of the potential careers available for students studying engineering.

At the Banbury & Bicester College workshop, which specialises in the training apprentices in the fields of classic vehicle restoration and maintenance, Steve Capewell, facilities manager, provided an overview of the course and then a tour of the workshop.

The students were given rare access to the KW Special Projects workshop, which is not usually open to the public due to the sensitive and confidential nature of the engineering projects that the team work on daily.
