THE county’s independent health and social care watchdog is looking for new trustees.

Healthwatch Oxfordshire is a charity aimed at encouraging and supporting local people to get involved in, and have their say, on the planning, commissioning and delivery of health and social care services.

Trustee and chairman Tracey Rees said: “Our local services are facing enormous pressures as the needs of patients and users of social care increase and become more complex, while at the same time there seems to be constant reorganisation and change.

"This means it is more important than ever that the voices of local people are heard and acted upon by hospitals, GP practices and care services.”

Trustees determine the charity’s strategy and support the executive team to use what it learns from the public to influence how health and social care services are provided locally.

Healthwatch Oxfordshire is looking for people with a wide range of experience, for example in research or HR.
