STAFF from McDonald's restaurants in Oxfordshire have helped to raise £30,465 for the Ronald McDonald House.

Eleven restaurants - from Swindon and Gloucestershire too - raised over £20,000 from staff opting into the company's voluntary payroll giving scheme, which allows employees to donate a pound a week from their salaries to the charity.

Employees raised the remaining amount through various fundraising activities, including raffles, competitions, face painting and Christmas entertainment.

Franchisee Carl Room said: “I’m thrilled that my staff have been able to provide such a boost to our nearest Ronald McDonald House this year.

“The charity provides an invaluable resource for families in need and I’m proud we’re able to contribute in some way to this.”
