A FUNDRAISING page to help the family of stabbing victim Robert Wilson has already doubled its target amount.

Mr Wilson, 53, of Birstall, was stabbed outside the Thornton & Ross factory in Linthwaite, Huddersfield, last Thursday.

Now a Go Fund Me page set up by Sharon Hine has raised £2,136, more than double its £1,000 target.

The page says Mr Wilson was described as a loving husband and father by his devastated wife Elaine and his two stepchildren Jack and Ella and also a much liked character by his work colleagues.

It adds: "Rob will be sadly missed by many. This page is set up entirely to help his bereaved family in this difficult time."

A total of 137 people have made a donation so far, many posting poignant messages on the page.
