A DAD has been banned from going to two schools until 2024 after sending death threats to the mum of his children.

Between September 1 and November 18, 2018 Arshid Hussain made an 'excessive' amount of calls to Marta Szostak, sent her unwanted messages and turned up uninvited at her door.

The 36-year-old, of Bridge Street in Banbury, then threatened to kill her over the phone and at her house on the same day made more threats and attacked her.

At Oxford Magistrates' Court on November 20, 2019 he appeared in the dock after he was convicted of one count of harassment and another count of assault by beating.

He was given a restraining order and was banned from contacting her unless it was about childcare arrangements.

He was also banned from going to her house, Frank Wise School and Queensway Primary School, all in Banbury, until November 2024.

He was also sentenced to a community order where he must do 22 days of activities with an officer.

He was also made to pay £200 in court costs and an £85 victim surcharge fee.
