OXFORD Crown Court was evacuated this afternoon after a fire alarm went off.
Defendants, court staff, barristers and members of the public filed out onto St Aldates in the rain at 2pm.
The Oxford Mail understands the alarm was just a drill.

Our court reporter Will Walker, who was among those evacuated, said everyone was allowed back inside after about 10 minutes.
It is unlikely the drill interrupted any trials, as the court usually adjourns proceedings between 1pm and 2pm for lunch.
Even court judges had to wait outside in the rain in their robes, although they used a different exit.
