A WOMAN scratched another woman in the face before attempting to put her cigarette out on her face too.

Thames Valley Police is releasing CCTV of a woman officers would like to speak to following the assault which happened at around 6pm on Tuesday, January 7 in Oxford.

The victim, a 39-year-old woman, was walking along Hampden Road at the junction of Littlemore Road when she was assaulted by another woman.

The offender started to shout at the victim before scratching her face and attempting to put her cigarette out on her face.

The victim sustained cuts and bruising to her face but did not require hospital treatment.

Investigating officer PC Harry Cornforth based at Cowley police station said: “I am appealing to anyone who has information that could assist with this investigation to get in touch.
