A MAN who breached a restraining order as well as being caught with an offensive weapon and using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour is set to be sentenced.

Martin Ives has already admitted three counts at an earlier hearing at Oxford Magistrates' Court.

The 66-year-old of Green Road, Kidlington, pleaded guilty in December to harassment by breaching a restraining order as well as possession of an offensive weapon in a public place - a golf club.

He also admitted using threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour thereby causing another harassment, alarm or distress.

All three offences took place on October 18 last year at Banbury Road, Oxford.

The breach of a restraining order involved one woman victim while the public order offence involved one male victim.

After pleading guilty to the offences the National Probation Service were commissioned to prepare a pre-sentence report.

That report is aimed at exploring all sentencing options.

His case was adjourned until today and he is set to appear at Oxford Magistrates' Court to be sentenced for the offences.
