A 'WONDERFUL' young pub worker aged just 26 was hit and killed by a BMW as he tried to cross the A420 at night, an inquest has heard.
The investigation into the death of Conor Johnson was opened at Oxfordshire Coroners Court today.
Head coroner for Oxfordshire Darren Salter explained how Mr Johnston lived and worked at The White Hart at Fyfield, just off the main road a few miles from Oxford.

He worked as a restaurant supervisor at the gastropub.
On the night of December 23, at around 10.30pm, Mr Johnston tried to cross the A420 - but was hit by a BMW.
He died at the scene of multiple injuries.
On Facebook, the gastropub paid tribute to the 'funny, kind and wonderful' 26-year-old.
The White Hart said its team would 'not be the same without him'.
The date for a full inquest is yet to be confirmed.
