TEENAGERS were arrested at a housing estate after a spree of violent attacks in the area.

At around 10.30pm on Saturday, a large group of yobs committed car crimes and assaults around the Shilton Park Estate.

The group damaged cars, acted aggressively and then behaved anti-socially on Sorrel Way, Lilac Way and Magnolia Way in Carterton.

Now police are hunting for the youths– and have urged anybody with mobile phone footage, wifi doorbell recordings and CCTV to come forward.

So far, three teenagers have been arrested.

A 16-year-old boy from Brize Norton was arrested on suspicion on violent disorder, alongside a 15-year-old boy from Bampton who was arrested for the same thing.

Another 16-year-old boy from Minster Lovell was also arrested on suspicion of assault.

All three have been bailed, and will appear at Banbury Police Station on February 1.

Investigating officer sergeant Phillippa Payne, based at Witney Police Station, said: “We are following a number of investigative lines of enquiry and are working with parents, schools and other agencies.

"Residents should expect to see an increased police presence in Carterton in the coming days.

“Thank you to all the witnesses that have already come forward. We are also appealing to anyone who may have CCTV, mobile phone footage or wi-fi doorbell system footage from the time of the incident to come forward.”
