A NATIONAL farming event will return to Oxford today and is set to be met with protests from climate change activists.

The annual Oxford Farming Conference, which has been held in the city for 80 years, will host speakers including Leon founder Henry Dimbleby to talk about the future of UK farming and agriculture across three days.

Members of Extinction Rebellion will stage 'actions and outreach' outside Oxford University's Examination Schools on High Street from 11.30am until 1pm today.

From 5.30pm to 6.30pm the group says it will also put on a 'buzzing bees stunt' from St Giles to the Ashmolean Museum and Examination Schools.
