A WOMAN who was sexually assaulted by Karen Matthews' paedophile fiancé today has dubbed him a 'vile monster' and said he 'shouldn't be allowed to walk the streets'.

Kathleen Jobb, aged 28, decided to speak out after seeing photos of former step-father Paul Saunders, 57, with 'Britain's most hated mum' Matthews.

The Oxford-based mum-of-three, Kathleen, said she felt “physically sick” when photographs emerged of Saunders with his new fiancee.

Ms Jobb, who waived her right to anonymity, was sexually abused by Saunders for three years when she was a teenager.

Saunders, who lived in Blackbird Leys, was jailed in January 2010 at Oxford Crown Court after admitting to four counts of engaging in sexual activity with a child, making indecent images of a child and two counts of sexual assault.

Ms Jobb has described Saunders as a “sick animal” for sexually assaulting her between 2006 and 2009, when he was married to her mum.

She told for the first time how Saunders would sneak into the bedroom she shared with her younger sister and touch her under the covers of her bunk-bed.

Stay-at-home mum, Kathleen, said her step-dad touched her inappropriately during the night when she aged between 15 and 17, as her mum Caroline Barry slept next door.

His vile abuse was only uncovered when her distraught mum found photos on Saunders’ phone of Kathleen.

She said: “He used to sneak into my bedroom when my mum was asleep. He did it on a daily basis.

“He put his hands under the covers and did things no step-father should ever do.

“His hands touched things they should not touch.

“I wanted to scream but he told me if I told anyone then he’d come after me. He said bad things would happen to me.

“I felt so scared and he made me feel dirty.

“He was supposed to be my step-dad. He was supposed to protect me.

“I’m still terrified of him after what happened. What he did to me is disgusting and it makes me feel violently sick.

“It made me feel suicidal. I didn’t want to be in this world anymore and he made me feel like I could not tell anyone.

“He is a vile monster and a sick animal. They are both sick.”

At the time of the ordeal Saunders was living with the family in Oxford after marrying Kathleen’s mum, who is a 52-year-old mum-of-four.

Ms Barry and handyman Saunders were just neighbours at first and Saunders used to carry out DIY jobs at the family’s home.

Caroline said Paul made her “feel safe” and she fell madly in love with him, before the pair tied the knot in May 2000.

However, they divorced ten years later after Caroline discovered indecent photographs of her daughter on his phone - and reported her husband to the police.

Saunders was only caught after he was jailed for eight weeks for benefit fraud in May the previous year.

Caroline then found the photographs of Kathleen on his mobile phone, and admits she had no idea what her husband had been up to.

He was jailed and ordered to sign the Sex Offenders’ Register for life.

Kathleen said she felt too scared to tell anyone about what Saunders was doing to her and has accused him of manipulation.

And now, ten years after being jailed for abusing Kathleen, Saunders is due to re-marry following a romantic Christmas engagement to his “inseparable” lover, Matthews.

Kathleen said she was shocked at seeing photographs of the “evil” lovers walking the streets together.

She said: “He should not be allowed to walk the streets and neither of them should be allowed anywhere near children.

“He is a risk to society.

“It makes me feel sick to see them both together. It is just so wrong.

“He targeted me as a vulnerable teenager and took advantage of me.

“I don’t think they should be allowed out in public. What he did to me is unforgivable and I will never get over what happened to me.

“He forced himself onto me.

“I thought I would never trust another man again.”

Kathleen’s decision to speak out comes as on Thursday, Saunders was reportedly arrested for breaching the terms of his release.

Kathleen, who lives with her partner and her three children, added she still suffers with depression because of the abuse.

She said memories of the ordeal have “stuck with me forever” and she had had suicidal thoughts.

Saunders used to spy on Kathleen from outside of her bedroom whilst she was getting changed and take photographs, she said.

He captured photos of her half naked from outside her bedroom with the then teenager none the wiser.

Kathleen shared bunk beds with her sister but Saunders only targeted Kathleen.

Kathleen slept in the lower bunk bed in a room she shared.

She added how Saunders seemed “nice” at first and trusted him as a father figure.

Her mum, Caroline, has described the moment she discovered indecent photographs of her daughter on Paul’s phone.

After Saunders was jailed for benefit fraud she decided to check his phone to see if he was hiding other secrets - which is when she found the vile photos.

She said she “trembled” as she looked at photos of her half naked daughter.

Caroline said: “I was absolutely horrified and I felt as though we had been completely betrayed.

“I thought he was a decent bloke but I was so wrong.

“Finding out about what he did to her made me feel physically sick.

“His relationship with Karen is just so wrong.

“They are two sick people who are now together. They should not be allowed to walk the streets.

“They look happy as Larry and that is not right. They have ruined lives and don’t deserve to be happy like that.

“It’s just absolutely disgusting.”

Caroline recalls catching Saunders in her daughters’ bedroom at night but never caught him in the act.

She said he used to claim he was looking out of the sisters’ bedroom window during the night.

Kathleen added how the family were not told of Saunders’ release from prison.
