RESIDENTS are being warned by Thames Valley Police not to leave packaging from presents by their bins as it will advertise valuables inside their homes.
Thames Valley Police officers in South Oxfordshire and Vale of White Horse have tweeted: “Don’t advertise your presents by leaving empty packaging by your bin.

“Cutting packaging up is just one of the ways you can #BeatTheBurglar this Christmas. #DontMakeItEasy.”
They have also issued a series of tips for residents so they can make their homes more secure at thamesvalley.police.uk
