EMERGENCY services were sent to the scene of a crash in Collins Green this afternoon, Friday.

The four-vehicle collision happened shortly before 3pm at the junction of Penny Lane and Collins Green Lane and an air ambulance was deployed.

Three fire engines arrived as well and crews stabilised the vehicles.

They then worked to free a person from one of the vehicles.

It was decided the casualty was fit enough to leave the vehicle themselves, aided by paramedics.

The person was then given treatment.

Police were also in attendance.
