After a cold December week the camera club theme of frost was perfect. Those of you who were brave enough to go out in the cold sent in pictures capturing the frosty mornings and close ups of frosty patterns.

Oxford is frozen in time in these pictures and one photo sent in by Ian Marriott shows the picturesque view of Oxford from Botley. The photo is almost blue with morning frost.

It was not just frosty landscapes sent in this week, many of the pictures capture nature covered in a wintery frost.

The ice cold spider's web was sent in by Denise Gurden. The picture shows the small icicles stuck to the web making a web of frost.

Marie Barnett Comley posted a picture of a frost covered fence, here you can see each frosty crystal like piece stick to the fence, creating a spiky ice cold picture.

Roy Pyniger sent a picture of a swan attempting to walk across a slippery frozen lake in Dorchester and similarly, he also sent in a picture of two moorhens creeping across the cold ice.

One Picture which caught my attention was a beautiful photo of some frozen sprouts on a plate. This may not be as traditional as the other frosty pictures but it is still in theme and funny.

Julie Holt sent in the picture of the frozen sprouts on a plate in the shape of a Christmas tree because she was feeling too ill to venture out into the cold and frosty mornings this week.

A picture sent in by Sue Reeves particularly looks like it has been frozen time, as the frosty weather has frozen in a splash creating a pretty icicle.

The pictures from this week have been ice cold and very creative with frozen lakes and ice covered leaves, the people submitting pictures to camera club have managed to capture even the smallest ice patterns.

Perhaps you took a picture of your pooch at the polling station and want to show it off or even just a picture out on a wintry walk.

The winner of this week's camera club will be announced in the paper tomorrow, but until then keep sending in your pictures of frost and start posting those cute dog pictures.
