POLICE have put out an appeal for dash cam footage or any other witnesses after a crash which has left a motorcyclist in a 'critical condition'.

The biker, a 19-year-old man, was taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford following the crash on the A40, and is currently in a critical condition.

Police have said the accident happened at about 8am on Wednesday, when the motorcyclist collided with a silver Volkswagen Golf at the Barnard Gate junction near Witney.

The driver of the VW Golf was not injured.

Investigating officer PC Phil Hanham of the Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: "I am appealing for information following this serious injury road traffic collision, which has left a 19-year-old man in a critical condition.

"I am appealing for anyone with information relating to this incident, or anyone who saw something, to contact Thames Valley Police on 101, quoting URN 208 4/12.

"I am also appealing to motorists with a dash-cam to check the footage to see if anything relating to this collision is captured on there, as it could be valuable to the investigation."
