Attempts are being made to increase the number of black and Asian police officers.
There are just 22 black and Asian officers in Oxfordshire's 916-strong force - 2.2 per cent.
A recruitment day tomorrow is aimed at encouraging more from the city's ethnic groups to join the force.
Earlier this year Supt Robin Rickard, head of the diversity unit, said officers were working to break down community barriers.
The recruitment day is being held at East Oxford Community Centre, in Cowley Road, from 10am-6pm.
