Cash, Jewellery and watches were stolen from properties in a series of five burglaries across South and Vale.

Entry was gained to the properties by smashing back doors and windows.

The Burglaries took place on Wednesday 27 November between the hours of 9am and 7.40pm.

The first burglary on Playfield Road in Kennington was broken into but nothing was stolen.

The second incident was in Yarnells Hill, North Hinksey where the alarms to the property were stolen. Again, in the third incident, a property on The Avenue, Kennington had CCTV cameras stolen.

The fourth burglary happened in West Way, Botley where some jewellery was stolen.

Finally, the fifth incident was between 1.30 pm and 6.30pm on 28 November at a property on Montagu Road. Here cash, jewellery, high value watches and cigarettes were stolen.

Investigating officer detective sergeant Francesca Jarvis based at Abingdon police station, said: "We believe that these burglaries are linked to similar offences that were committed earlier in the month.”

Thames Valley Police are asking if anyone has any CCTV footage from the time of these burglaries or thinks they have seen anything suspicious to contact 101 to report the crime.
