CLIMATE change activism groups are organising a political hustings to ask Oxford’s prospective MPs their views on global warming.
Oxford Extinction Rebellion, Oxford Friends of the Earth, Parents for Future Oxford, Oxford Climate Society and Oxford Climate Policy Forum, have come together to organise hustings for Oxford East candidates to answer questions about what they will do if elected to address the growing threats posed by climate change and ecological breakdown.

The hustings will take place Thursday, December 5 at 7pm, New Road Baptist Church, Bonn Square.
The groups agreed to co-host the hustings to ‘ensure the candidates understand how important it is to address the growing climate and ecological crisis’.
They also want to give residents a chance to quiz candidates on their climate policy.
The campaigners are also calling on the public to vote in the general election for candidates who will take action to avoid climate change and ecological breakdown.
According to the activists, the candidates who have confirmed attendance David Williams, Green Party, Anneliese Dodds, Labour party and Alistair Fernie, Liberal Democrats.
Louise Staite, Conservative party, has also been invited.
