A MAN convicted of threatening members of the public and assaulting a man in Oxford will be sentenced today.
Paul Chilton was convicted of the single count of assault by beating a man as well as the public order offence on October 28.
The 37-year-old of no fixed abode was guilty of using towards members of the public threatening, abusive or insulting words or behaviour with intent to cause immediate fear of unlawful violence on June 15.

His case was adjourned for the preparation of a pre-sentence report by the National Probation Service to explore all sentencing options.
Chilton will be sentenced at Oxford Magistrates' Court this morning.
