A COLLISION caused delays for motorists heading into Oxfordshire on the A34, while a separate breakdown led to five-mile queue on the opposite side.
Oxfordshire County Council said the northbound road was disrupted due to a crash at East Ilsley, just over the county border.

Meanwhile a lorry breakdown on the southbound side, along the same stretch, was causing 40-minute delays as of 7.35am.
Both incidents have since been cleared and traffic was beginning to ease by 9am.
Please be aware that there are delays of 40 minutes on the approach to this #A34 incident near #Chilton with 5 miles of queuing traffic on the approach to the #M4 junction. Please allow extra time for your journey this morning or seek an alternative route if possible.
