A TREE came toppling down to block a B-road near Wantage.
Police and members of the community helped to clear the B4494 yesterday, after the trunk came crashing down into the path of vehicles.

Posting on Facebook this afternoon, neighbourhood police officers thanked those who helped with the clear-up operation.
The road runs from Wantage all the way to Newbury, but officers did not specify where exactly the tree came down.
A photo shared by police showed the tree completely uprooted, lying horizontal across the entire road.
