POSSESSIONS were stolen from a car in an Oxfordshire town after it was broken into on Monday causing hundreds of pounds worth of damage.

The incident happened at 1.45am when thieves smashed into a vehicle on Lower Cherwell Street in Banbury.

Approximately £600 worth of damage was caused, with an additional £200 worth of items stolen.
