A WOMAN was injured in a crash in Wantage on Saturday and police need help investigating the incident.

The crash happened at around 10.50am when a blue car collided with a woman, a pedestrian aged in her fifties, in Market Place outside the Savers retail shop.

The impact caused the woman to fall over and she sustained minor injuries.

The driver drove off in the direction of Wallingford Street without stopping.

Investigating officer PC Sarah Davies of the Joint Operations Unit for Roads Policing based at Abingdon, said: “I am appealing for anybody who witnessed this collision or who may have dash-cam footage to contact police.

“Thankfully, the woman was not seriously injured, but I am keen to speak with the driver of the blue car to ascertain the circumstances of this collision.”
