POLICE caught someone speeding at 48mph as they acted on villagers' concerns about dangerous driving.
Officers carried out a speed enforcement operation in Horton-cum-Studley yesterday, following complaints about excessive speed.
The village, which lies between Headington and Bicester, is a 30mph zone, which is clearly signposted upon entry.

Posting the results of their investigation on Facebook, police said speeds they clocked ranged between 38mph and 48mph.
Officers did not clarify if the drivers were pulled over or fined.
A similar speeding crackdown carried out in Kidlington this month resulted in 11 tickets being issued.
