POLICE are collecting Christmas presents for vulnerable women who have been victims of domestic violence.

Bicester Police Station is backing the local appeal to collect gifts for women and their children who are living in temporary refuge accommodation this Christmas.

From today until November 28, presents can be donated over the counter at the police station on Queens Avenue. 

Drop off points at Paula Jane Boutique on Sheep Street and at The Brunch Box in Evans Yard will be open until November 30. 

These are the gifts which have been suggested by the organisers, but other suitable things will be accepted too: 

Babies (under 3):

- Teddies
- Blankets
- Teethers
- Hat and mitten sets

3-11 year olds:
- Craft sets
- Lego/K-Nex
- Colouring sets
- DVDs
- Dolls/action figures
- Scarves, hats and gloves

11-16 year olds:
- Backpacks
- Toiletries
- Perfume/aftershave
- Scarves, gloves and hats
- DVDs
- CDs
- Books

Mums:
- Toiletries
- Perfume
- Books
- Hats and gloves
- Scarves
- Jewellery
- Make-up
