CUTE puppies have been pitted against each other in a competition at Didcot's civic hall.

On Sunday, October 13, Didcot Civic Hall hosted its second annual Fun Dog Show.

A total of 25 dogs took part in the show, and more than 50 people watched an array of breeds from Corgis to Great Danes compete.

Categories included Best Six Legs, Best Didcot Dog and Best Junior Handler.

On the day £120 was raised by the civic hall and split between two charities Guide Dogs UK and Pine Ridge Dog Sanctuary.

Guide Dogs UK attended on the day to put on a performance and local dog rehabilitation and grooming centre for dogs Woozelbears came along to support.

A spokesman for the civic hall said: "Working together with local businesses, charities and the local community is something we at Didcot Civic Hall really enjoy and through working with the local community and charities we were lucky enough to be nominated and win the Event Venue of the Year award at Oxfordshire Prestige Awards.

"As a team we would like to thank all Civic Hall users and the Didcot Community for their support."
