AN OXFORD playground was on the move in 1979 due to the ground it was built on being poisoned.
Heavy machinery, including a bulldozer, moved on to Tuckwells Field in March of that year to continue the job of relocating the South Oxford Adventure Playground.
A new playground was due to be ready in time for the Easter holidays.

The original site was closed in December of 1978 when the soil was found to be polluted with arsenic and cyanide.
A sign put up at the site by Oxford City Council stated: "Warning Keep Out. This land is poisoned and not safe for play."
Play leaders worked with children for several weeks to create a makeshift playground while the old one was closed off.
