A LECTURE took place at a church last week in memory of a former Bicester mayor.
Jolanta Lis passed away last May and to remember her legacy, St Edburg’s Church in Bicester - which she was a stalwart member of - is holding a series of lectures.

The inaugural Jolanta Lis Memorial Lecture took place at the church last week in the presence of her husband Lars Lis and more than 50 others.
The speaker was Imam Monawar Hussein on the topic: ‘Beyond tolerance: building a truly inclusive society’.
Councillor and Chair of Oxfordshire County Council Les Sibley and his wife, and Brigadier Ian Inshaw, a Deputy Lieutenant of Oxfordshire, accompanied by his wife, attended.
