THE husband of the British-Iranian woman imprisoned in Iran will be speaking in Oxford this week.

Nazanin Zaghari-Ratcliffe hit the headlines in 2016 when she was put in prison for spying.

Her husband, Richard Ratcliffe, has been an avid campaigner of her release going on hunger strike earlier this year outside the Iranian Embassy in London, and speaking at the UN General Assembly for his family's return.

He will be speaking at the Oxford Union this Wednesday (October 23).

The talk, in the exclusive debating chamber, will begin at 5pm.
