A HIRE boat became wedged sideways after it attempted to turn in the River Thames.
The photograph of the trapped vessel, only inches shorter than either side of the river, was shared on Twitter by Oxford Waterways, an account created 'to celebrate the city's waterways'.

They commented: "When hirers of @leboatuk tried to turn a 25ft long boat in a 26ft wide river in Oxford.
"Nice one guys... #austinpowers anyone?"
The image was taken on East Street in West Oxford, just before Osney Bridge.
