A CELEBRITY sitcom star will switch on the Christmas lights in Abingdon next month.
Actress Joanna Page, who played Stacey in the much-loved television comedy Gavin & Stacey, has been announced as the headline guest at Abingdon Christmas Extravaganza.
Abingdon Chamber of Commerce, which organises the annual event, posted the full line-up on Facebook today.

It will take place in Market Place on Saturday, November 30 and highlights include a parade at midday, morris dancing at 12.30pm and various entertainment until the actress leads the switch-on at 6pm.
This will be immediately followed by a firework display.
Organisers of the switch-on usually try to enlist a familiar face to turn on the lights.
In 2016, former S Club 7 members Bradley McIntosh, Tina Barrett and Jo O'Meara did the honours, while in 2017, it was 90s band The Honeyz.
See the event's Facebook page 'Abingdon Christmas Extravaganza & Local Excellence Market' for more details.
