HUNDREDS of pupils have been unable to attend school today after torrential rain caused 'significant' flooding.
Cutteslowe Primary School in Oxford has closed Key Stage 1 and 2 classes after the water damage yesterday, while Fringford CE Primary School near Bicester is also closed due to 'extensive' flooding.
In a Facebook post announcing the closure, Cutteslowe staff explained that teachers managed to save classroom furniture from being completely destroyed but said they would still have to spend time cleaning up.

They said the insurance company were called last night to begin the clean-up - but the school would still remain shut today, except nursery and reception pupils, who can attend as usual.
The school described the flooding as 'significant' but the Oxford Mail understands most of the damage has since been cleared.
Children had left the school by the time the flooding happened but school staff remained on site, and have been supported by the River Learning Trust, which runs the school.
