LAND next to a lay-by has been cleared by the landowner and police after concerns raised by residents.
Bushes and trees at the lay-by on the B4100 at Caversfield, near Bicester, have been removed to allow access to a previously inaccessible public footpath.
Thames Valley Police, posting on social media, said the clean-up was in conjunction with Cherwell District Council 'in response to concerns made by local residents and members of the public.'

The post added: "This now opens up the public footpath for the use of the general public which links Caversfield to Bucknell.
"After an independent assessment it was found that the ash trees were suffering from chalara ash dieback and have therefore been felled as these posed a risk."
Prior to the work, a sign had been left at the location stating 'police operation in progress.'
Officers did not specify the nature of residents' complaints.
