SCORES of people enjoyed a traditional village show with modern twists.
Carno Show took place at the weekend with attractions ranging from traditional floats and sheep-shearing to more modern features such as a Sushi cook-off and go-karting.
Rhiannon Snape, one of the organisers, said there had been fears the weather might put a dampener on the spectacle, but the sun shone for the big event.
"The sun shone and it was beautiful," she said.
"We had something for everyone, it was a very big event and there was an excellent turn-out.
"There was ice-cream from Rhayader, we had the Samba Agogo band from Aberystwyth leading the parade, we had five floats and the two town queens."
Ms Snape added that the show demonstrated that community spirit is still alive in the village.
"I want to thank every individual competitor and every single person who volunteered or contributed", she said,
"Without them there would be no show."
