A SQUAD of immigration officers and neighbourhood police travelled in convoy through Osney Mead yesterday afternoon.

The team had set off on their mission unbeknown to the Chinese shop wholesalers Lung Wah Chong.

The vans labelled 'immigration enforcement' pulled up outside the front and the police officers guarded the exits.

It is understood the officers were questioning the staff on their rights to work in the UK.

In June police raided Templars Square shopping centre for illegal employees.
The two arrested were deported, and another small shop raided was fined £20,000

It is unknown whether anybody has been arrested at Lung Wah Chong.

The Home Office have been contacted for a comment.
