SHOPPERS who love a bargain adore the “aisle of dreams” in Aldi and Lidl where they can snap up anything from gardening tools to clothing at knock-down prices.

Aldi’s aisle is called Specialbuys and Lidl’s is Middle of Lidl and the latest offers are always worth checking out. Both supermarkets have branches across the area.

Here is some of what you can expect this week:

Back to school is the order of the day.

From today until Saturday the aisle will stock everything your little ones will need for the new school year.

School shoes cost just £6.99, a printer for homework is only £24.99 and a camouflage backpack costs £6.99.

There are also offers on children’s pyjamas, notebooks and posters.

On Sunday the Specialbuys change with a focus on the garden.

If your back yard needs an end-of-summer clear-out then Aldi has everything you need.

A garden furniture cover set costs £19.99, garden pruners cost £4.99 and an extendable window cleaner will set you back £12.99.

You can also pick up a spider catcher, grass door mat or hedge shears.

In the Middle of Lidl, gardening also features from today until Saturday.

Once you have cleared your garden, you might want to do some replanting – and the aisle has a selection of plants and flowers on sale to help you do just that.

Then on Sunday the Middle of Lidl has offers on home essentials.

There is £20 off an HD smart 40 inch TV which costs £229, a simple decorative picture frame is only £3.99 and there is a lovely mirror up for only £9.99.
